Domaine LUCIEN & FANNY ROCAULT
Although Lucien is attached to the simplicity of wine-making and believes his role is only to accompany nature in making a great vintage, he still keeps up with the latest in oenology. They are a small group in Burgundy with the same vision and the transition in recent generations has separated them from the rest of the pack.
This parcel was the first one taken over by Lucien and his wife Fanny when they bought their own house that includes the perfect cellar in the heart of the Saint Romain village.
The village is tucked beneath the plateau in a recess from Beaune, it captures the morning's fresh doe and keeps the afternoon warmth later at night.
Drink now or in 15 to 20 years.
