Located in the heart of Provence, Domaine de Marchandise is a family-owned winery that has been producing high-quality wines for over 50 years. The estate is run by winemaker Marine Chauvier for the entire wine growing and winemaking. Marine took over from her father a number of years ago. Her uncle that founded the Estate with her father is still helping of course and her brother in law too.
Their vineyards are situated on a unique terroir that is characterized by its stony soil and Mediterranean climate, which creates the ideal growing conditions for their grapes. The stony soil of the vineyards, known as "argilo-calcaire," is rich in minerals and helps to create wines that are complex and well-balanced. Additionally, the Mediterranean climate of the region, with hot, dry summers and mild winters, is ideal for producing grapes that are ripe and full of flavor.
One of the standout wines from Domaine de Marchandise is their Côtes de Provence Rosé. Made from a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, and Syrah grapes, this wine has a beautiful pink color and a delicate flavor with notes of raspberry and citrus.
